The 99th Reunion of the Andrew K. Anderson family was held 6 August 2006 at the Community Center in Villisca, Iowa. 48 family members were in attendance; representing the Ole and Ellen (Jergenson) Anderson, Andrew John and Caroline (Larson) Anderson and Sarah (Anderson) and Aleak Lee families; from Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado and Missouri.

The family winning the prize for the most members in attendance were the Aleak and Sarah (Anderson) Lee family, represented by 25 family members which include: John and Helen (Johnson) Hill, Lincoln, NE; Dale and Janice Shepherd, Lenox; Carl and Sandy Lee, Clarinda; John and Carla (Lee) Hiner and son Parker, of Kansas City, MO; Darin and Jennifer Lee and children, Garret and Piper of Liberty, MO; Gilbert and Betty (Lee) Lindberg, LaDean Jergenson of Villisca; LaDonna Jergenson of Audubon; Bob and Anna Lee, Patty (Lee) Wagaman, Kaleb and Katie Wagaman, all of Red Oak; Sue (Couch) Moon and Lois "Jean" (Orstad) Couch, Ralston, NE and Maxene (Larson) Morrison of Griswold.

Andrew and Carolyn (Larson) Anderson family were represented by 13 members: Deloris (Hendrickson) Peterson, and Joan (Rhamy) Haley, of Nodaway; Neal and Cathy Peterson, Shenandoah; Yarden and Abby (Peterson) Medeiros, Omaha, NE; Deloris (Orstad) Weaver, Grant; Connie (Haley) Cleaver, Missouri Valley, and grandchildren Haley and Kaden Cleaver of Council Bluffs; Cheryl (Haley) Swartz, of Corning; and Ben and Mary Ann (Hendrickson) Dunkin, from Fort Collins, CO.

10 members represented the Ole and Ellen (Jergenson) Anderson family: Dennis Devine, Sr., and Norman Devine of Council Bluffs; Marilyn (Devine) Nelson, Belview, NE; Darwin Anderson, Red Oak; Brad and Marj Anderson, Van Meter, Bill and Dawn (Anderson) McCrory, Atlantic; and Orville and Peg Fast, of Elliott.

The delicious food prepared by the family members was enjoyed by one and all. The afternoon was spent visiting with our "cousins"and looking at family photos and other memorabilia and taking photos. Marriages, births and deaths of our family members accuring in the past year were reported. Prizes were given to the oldest member in attendance which was Lois ³Jean² (Orstad) Couch at 83; the youngest member was Piper Lee, at 3 months, daughter of Darin and Jennifer Lee; John and Carla (Lee) Hiner and son Parker of Kansas City, MO, traveled the farthest; the Carl and Sandy Lee family won the prize for the ONE Family with the most members in attendance (9); Yarden and Abby (Peterson) Medeiros and Connie, Kaden and Haley Cleaver - all first time attendees - won tickets to next years Reunion.

Mary Ann (Hendrickson) Dunkin modeled her 100th Anniversary Tee-Shirt - a photo transfer of the 1907 picture was put on her shirt. Transfers of the photo can be obtained from Mary Ann now to put on your own shirt for next year¹s 100th Anniversary. They are $4 plus postage. The 100th Anderson Reunion will be the 5th of August 2007 in the Villisca Community Center. We will have our 100th Reunion photo taken and then drive to Strand for a tour of the Church and Cemetery. See you then.
