Karen J. Orr, daughter of Bernard and Bobbin Orr of Villisca, and Jeramiah D. Mullen, son of Kerry and Donna Mullen of Corning were united in marriage Nov. 26, 2004 at the National Guard Armory in Corning, IA.
Officiating their ceremony was Reverend Ken Rummer of the Presbyterian Church in Corning.

Attending the bride were her maid-of-honor Becca Bladt, and bridesmaid Julie Greenfield, both of Villisca, both friends of the bride.

Attending the groom were best man Ben Mullen, and groomsman Tim Mullen, both of Corning and both brothers of the groom. Zander Steiner of Villisca and Haley Orr of Council Bluffs were the ring bearer and flower girl; Allie Bronner of Villisca assisted them. Xavier Steiner and Tyler Hoover, both of Villisca were the aisle runners and Lexi Bronner of Villisca assisted them. They are all nieces and nephews of the bride. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony with music being provided by Ultimate Music of Villisca.

The bride, a 2003 graduate of Villisca High School is currently attending Southwestern Community College. The groom, a 2003 graduate of Corning High School is currently in the United States Marines. After his return from Iraq they will reside in North Carolina, where he is currently stationed.

Eric Kline and Kelly Wolfe were united in marriage June 5, 2004 at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton with the Rev. Eric Kutzli and Rev. Sandra Wainwright officiating.

Kelly is the daughter of Lynn and Vickie Wolfe of Villisca and the granddaughter of Stan and Janice Peterson of Stanton and Betty Wolfe of Villisca. Eric is the son of Dick and Gloria Kline of Villisca and grandson of Betty Crawford of Clarinda.

A reception and dance were held at the Clarinda Pavilion.

Eric, a recent graduate of Iowa State University and commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force will be a communications officer with the 505th Communications Squadron at Hulburt Field in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Kelly will reside in Ames, IA finishing her degree in dietetics at Iowa State University in May of this year.

Jeff graduated from Grundy Center in 1997, and Iowa State University in 2002 with a masters degree in transportation engineering. He is empolyed by Crown Packaging as a sales representative. They are residing in their home in Ankeny, IA.

Bob and Karen Pafford of Nodaway, IA and Sam and Nancy Green of Yakima, WA are proud to announce the marriage of their children, Carrie and Cecil which took place on March 15, 2004 in Corning, IA. Their reception will take place April 17, 2004 at the Villisca City Lounge.

Carrie is employed at Stanton Care Center and is a member of the Nodaway Fire Department. Cecil is employed at the Villisca Good Samaritan Center.

They will make their home in Nodaway with Carrie's children Brandon and Kelly.

Carrie's grandmother is Angie Gaunt of Griswold, IA.

Cecil's grandmother is Grace Yarrington of Batavia, IA.

Jessie is a 2000 graduate of Villisca and Will is a 1999 graduate of Villisca.

The couple will wed on Saturday May 15, 2004 at the United Methodist Church in Villisca.

The couple will be married in Stanton on June 26, 2004.

Jalene is a 1995 graduate of Stanton Community High School and a 1999 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University. She is currently employed at Principal Residential Mortgage in Des Moines, as a Quality Specialist.

David is a 1994 graduate of Carlisle High School and is employed at Principal Residential Mortgage in Des Moines as a Mortgage Service Specialist.

Gary and Rhoda Hartstack of Stanton announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leanne Marie, to Mark Russell Johnson, son of Russell and Susan Johnson of Red Oak.

The bride to be is a 1996 graduate of Stanton High School, a 2000 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, and a 2002 graduate of Webster University with a master's degree in education. Leanne is a teacher for the Park Hill School District in Kansas City, Missouri.

The future bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Red Oak High School, a 2000 graduate of the University of Iowa, and a 2003 graduate from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He is currently practicing law in Kansas City.

A June 19th wedding is planned at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton.

Leanne is the granddaughter of Eleanor Hallquist of Stanton and Mark is the grandson of Lylah Rentz and Jessie Johnson, both of Red Oak.

Rachel Dunn and Rick Pederson, both of Fort Dodge, were married Nov. 29, 2003 in Badger Lutheran Church.

The couple's parents are Robert and Christine Dunn, Nodaway, and Larry and Theresa Pederson, Badger.

Matron of honor was Molly Bumstead, Omaha, Neb. Best man was Scott Pederson, Badger, brother of the groom. Bridesmaids were Sally Dunn, Ames; Mallory Dunn, Des Moines; Betsy Zimmarman, Minnetonka, Minn.; Carissa Spencer, Webster City; and Casey McDermott, Newton. Groomsmen were Philip Pederson, Austin, Texas; Chad Pederson, Des Moines; Steve Koester, Bettendorf; Kirk Willet, Cedarburg, Wis.; and Rob Dunn, Cedar Falls. Flower girl was Allison Wood, Prescott. Ring bearer was Bryce Pederson, Badger.

Following the wedding cruise to Hawaii, the couple live in Fort Dodge.

The bride is a graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, with a bachelor of science degree in dietetics. She is clinical and renal dietitian at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

The groom is a graduate of Grandview College, Des Moines, with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education and English, and a graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, with a master's degree in education. He is an English instructor and baseball coach at Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge.

Amber is a 2000 graduate of Villisca High School and a 2003 graduate of Iowa Western Community College with an AA in criminal justice. She is currently employed at Casey's in Villisca.

Richard is a 1993 graduate of Corning High School and a 2003 graduate of Soutwest Iowa Community College with an AA degree in psychology. He is currently employed at Zion Recovery Services in Red Oak.

The bride's grandmother is Wilma Myers of Red Oak. The groom's grandmother is Helen Mullen of Corning.

 

Valerie Lindburg and Jeff McIntyre

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Lindberg announce the engagement of their daughter Valerie Lindburg to Jeff McIntyre the son of Teresa Fitzpatrick and Craig McIntyre. Wedding date June 12th, 2004 at St. Stephens Church in Des Moines. Jeff is a graduate of ISU 2002 now an employee of Crown Packaging. Valerie is currently a student at Mercy Health System at Des Moines.
