Refrigerators are one of the highest energy consumption home appliances, partly because they are constantly running. A look at how much energy could be saved by the purchase of a new unit may make such a purchase reasonable.

For those that choose through-the-door ice service, expect a 25 to 30% increase in energy use compared to a solid door design.

A rebate form is available from the Villisca Municipal Power Plant office for rebates on the purchase of the Energy Star(R) qualified Compact Flourescent Lamps when purchased from Villisca Foods or Kendrick & Heard Plumbing & Heating.
